Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the house of a local family happily living in a small village in the middle of the Rhodope mountains. Well tucked away, offering breathtaking views to the surrounding hills, crystal clear mountain air and the famous Rhodopian hospitality, it is the best place where you can learn the "secrets"of cooking from the host Malina, known to be the best local chef.
Day 2 and 3: You will learn how to cook Bulgarian style dishes such as - "Banitsa" (typical Bulgarian breakfast prepared with eggs, cheese and phyllo pastry and baked in the oven), "Tarator" (cold soup made of yogurt, water, cucumber, garlic, walnut and dill) , "Moussaka" (classic Bulgarian meal prepared with potatoes, minced meat, onion, eggs, spices and Bulgarian yogurt on the side), "Stuffed peppers" (fresh peppers filled with minced meat and rice) as well as traditional Rhodopian food like "Rodopski klin" (similar to the traditional Banitsa) and "Patatnik" (potato-based dish, prepared with grated potatoes and onions, as well as spearmint)
Day 4: Morning drive to the second largest city in Bulgaria - Plovdiv, famous for its Old Town, the cobblestone streets and the magnificent samples of the Bulgarian Renaissance architecture (XVIII - XIX centuries). City tour upon arrival visiting "Nedkovich" house-museum, the Roman theater and the stadium, the archaeological museum, etc.
Day 5 and 6: Day trips to some of the boutique wineries around Plovdiv, where you can enjoy variety of red and white wines, starting with classical sorts such as Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay and ending with typical Bulgarian grape like Mavrud
